looking at Le Creuset's web site today, as you do, I am horrified to find that they now do their cookware in lavender.

what is the world coming to?

I agree with you there - lavendar ... yuk. Have to admit I don't like le Creuset anyway - yes, sacrilege I know but I just *don't*. So there!

I *hate hate hate* the saucepans.  Pete had a set when we got together, and I can't make him get rid of them - I'm going to sneak them out to a car boot when he's not looking :)

but I love my casseroles and saute dishes.

glad to see you here!

I certainly wouldn't to use Le Creuset for everything (they're so heavy they make my joints ache), but the casseroles, big and small, are very useful indeed from time to time.

Lavender?  Just say NO!

Well I'm going to disagree. I love my Le Creuset pans. They distribute the heat a lot better than thin steel/aluminium pans and hold the heat well too. However it does mean I have to have a thin tefal pan for making scrambled eggs.
