last night, I rounded up the weary veg from the fridge - carrots, leeks, celery, couple of courgettes, and some extremely worn out tarragon from the freezer. Cubed them small, and sweated them in some olive oil over a low heat for about half an hour.
then tipped half a jar of lentils (yes, I know they don't come in jars, but I *store* them in jars), a jar of passata and some water, and cooked it on as low a heat as I could manage for an hour or so. Add some seasoning. Had it with breadmaker bread for lunch
