basic asparagus with sesame oilrating:
1 tbsp olive oil
450g fresh asparagus, peeled - leave whole or cut into thirds
1/4 tsp sale
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
put the olive oil in a frying pan and set over medium heat. When hot, put in the asparagus. Stir quickly to coat with oil, using tongs to turn. Add 3 tbsps water and the salt. Cover, turn to low, and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the asparagus is cooked through.
remove the cover, add the seseame oil, and turn up the heat to reduce the liquid.
you can serve this cold if you wish - I doubt I could wait ...
